Feng Shui benefits Business

“It’s just another element in which you can have advantage over your competitors. Asians are becoming a big part of our market and this (feng shui) is something we can not ignore”.                     Donald Trump, New York Times Sept 22 1994

  • Maximise your profits
  • Harmonise staff relationships
  • Enhance creativity
  • Ensure the well being of your staff
  • Reduce absenteeism
  • Projects completed on time
  • Increase productivity
  • Increase sales

In order to provide the most beneficial environment for a business to prosper, a consultation with Marie-Claire will consider the following aspects:

  • The Vision, Mission and Goals of the Company
  • The key personnel and staff dynamics in general
  • Any specific area of the business that requires improvement

-      The external positioning of the office: how approachable or exposed is it? Is it well signposted for example? Is it exposed to any stress?

-      The internal layout of the floor(s): is it easy to move from one office to another?

-      Is it free of clutter?

-      Desk positions: are they conducive to the individual performing at their best?

-      Colours used: eg red is more lively than dark blue so would be good in a Sales area that needed more energy

-      Textures of flooring, chairs, window coverings

-      Prevalence of plants in the office

-      The history of the location and any prevalent energies

-      Environmental Analysis: is the building affected by Sick Office Syndrome?

What is Feng Shui exactly and how can it help a business?
Feng Shui is the practice of analysing and influencing the interaction between people, buildings and the environment in order to enhance quality of life.

Definition supplied by The Feng Shui Society

If you have ever entered a room that just didn’t feel right, that is an example of poor Feng Shui. If a salesperson is seated facing a blank wall with their back to the door, it is likely that they’ll feel uncomfortable. Feeling uncomfortable can lead to under performance. Comfy sofas and dark colours would be inappropriate for a dynamic salesforce but may well suit a counselling practice.
